Dicky Robinson was born in 1927 and played three times in season 1945/46.
He was working in the Fife coalfield as a Bevin Boy at the time, but was born and raised in Whitburn, just north of Sunderland. He was signed by Middlesbrough on his return to England and went on to play 390 league games for Middlesbrough and another 139 games for Barrow.
His only goal was scored against Sunderland, and he travelled home on the Sunderland team bus after the game. He played five times for the English League, but never obtained a full cap.
Died 19 April 2009, Barrow.
